COURSE DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE

The Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering is a program approved and accredited by the Council of Engineers of Thailand (COE). The curriculum aims to develop competent engineers with strong foundations in power systems, communication engineering, and intelligent technologies. Graduates will possess the knowledge, technical skills, creativity, and ethical responsibility necessary to apply engineering principles effectively in both traditional and emerging fields.

The program integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), smart and embedded systems, and innovative electrical applications to meet the challenges of the modern digital era. Students will learn to design, analyze, and manage systems that combine intelligence with electrical and electronic design, supporting advancements in Smart Grids, Smart Cities, and Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

Through project-based learning and exposure to real-world industrial practices, students will gain practical experience in innovation, automation, and sustainable technologies, enabling them to contribute effectively to Thailand’s and the region’s transition toward a digital, low-carbon, and sustainable future.

Furthermore, the curriculum provides a strong foundation for research and postgraduate studies, fostering continuous learning and innovation in the rapidly evolving fields of electrical, electronic, and intelligent engineering.

EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

Graduates of the Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering program are well-prepared to meet the growing demand for skilled electrical engineers who can drive technological and sustainable development in Thailand and the region.

They will be equipped with both fundamental and applied engineering competencies, enabling them to work effectively in a wide range of professional roles, including:

  • Design Engineer — in power systems, electrical installations, control systems, and communication networks.
  • Project or Site Engineer / Contractor — responsible for system implementation, testing, commissioning, and on-site engineering management.
  • Maintenance or Operations Engineer — ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical and automation systems.
  • Consultant or System Integrator — providing technical solutions in areas such as Smart Grids, IoT, automation, and renewable energy systems.
  • Researcher, Innovator, or Entrepreneur — developing new technologies related to AI, electric vehicles (EVs), energy management, and smart technologies.
  • Academic or Scholar — contributing to higher education and advanced research in electrical and electronic engineering fields.

Graduates can pursue careers in government agencies, public utilities, private companies, and industrial enterprises, as well as engage in innovation and startup ventures within Thailand and the ASEAN region.

INTERNATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES:

Students are encouraged to gain global exposure through a variety of international and professional experiences, including student exchange programs, internships abroad, study tours, field trips, cooperative studies, and professional training workshops organized in collaboration with Rangsit University’s partner universities, professional associations, and industry networks.

Opportunities include short-term international internships (approximately 2 months) as well as long-term cooperative education placements (4–12 months) in overseas institutions or industries. These experiences are designed to broaden students’ professional perspectives, enhance cross-cultural communication skills, and strengthen their readiness for global careers in engineering, innovation, and technology.
