Nothing is certain in this life. Many things that we never planned like the Covid-19, Russia-Ukraine war, etc. can happen. However, one way to protect ourselves from these uncertainties is to plan ahead and decide on how to best take care of ourselves when unexpected things happen. This is the focus of risk management, which deals with identifying, evaluating, and controlling the impact of unfortunate events or to maximize the realization of opportunities.
